Knowing the feel of the songs that I was re-visiting I set about writing complimentary songs but the process just does not work like that!
Now that the sessions are complete and I can take an over view I’d say this album is very balanced with some real up-tempo numbers and mid- tempo ballads & tunes.
The overall sound is quite different to the last album as it’s more produced and sounds richer and fuller. We deliberately went for a raw and live-esque sound last time. The finished sound does not affect the song writing process but it is key to have a homogenous sound.
